About Us

Rusty spent the first twelve years of his professional career working in public accounting firms in Miami and Jupiter Florida. As a partner in Ellis S. Tarsches PA, a family owned Certified Public Accounting firm, Rusty was responsible for the development of the small business advisory and computer based accounting solution practice. Rusty used these experiences to start his own small business software sales and development, training, implementation and consulting firm, Advanced Consulting Concepts, Inc. (ACC) From the inception this start-up business experienced consistent year over year growth. ACC merged with another entity in August 2000. At the time of the merger ACC had annual revenues in excess of 1million.

After ACC, Rusty was involved in several consulting projects. One project lead to the creation of a new small software development company where Rusty assumed the CFO position and moved to the Atlanta area. Leaving this company in 2004, Rusty participated in several consulting projects involving fraud investigations, merger and acquisitions and interim CFO / Controller roles. From 2005 till 2010 Rusty worked at Logisticare Solutions as Director of Accounting. During these years, the company’s revenue grew from $200 million to $500 million. Rusty also participated in the sale of Logisticare to Providence Service Corporation. From April 2010 to August 2012, Rusty served as the Senior Director of Accounting at Healthcare Solutions in Duluth, GA. With the creation of TARGO Advisors, LLC, Rusty has returned to the small business sector. Utilizing his experiences from many years of service in small businesses, and combining these with his experiences from multi-million dollar corporations, Rusty can bring the knowledge and experiences that are typically provide to these multi-million dollar companies to the small business owner at a small business owners price. Rusty graduated from the University of Georgia in 1978 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.

MARK THAIYA

Mark has close to 20 years of management consulting experience spanning multiple industries and sectors from start-ups to large companies in US and International arenas. His professional career started at Arthur Andersen in Columbus, Ohio but he later relocated to Atlanta, GA where he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers and also worked at Cap Gemini Ernst and Young, and the North Highland Company. Mark’s goal-oriented value based approach to solving client problems has earned him respect in project management, business process improvement, organizational change, strategy formulation, structuring shared services centers (SSC’s), and Financial systems implementation. He has helped numerous clients navigate the complexities of technologies and process challenges at the heart of Finance and IT departments to determine and craft the best solution for the company.

Most recently, Mark has become intricately involved with Cloud based technologies and how they apply to small and mid-sized companies. He has also researched subscription-based accounting methodologies and how the benefit small businesses. Mark is the founder of Synergy International Group (SIG) based out of Atlanta, Georgia and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the College of Wooster in Ohio and an MBA and MA (International Affairs) from Ohio University. Additionally, Mark graduated from executive leadership program at Emory University where he earned the Goizueta Management Certificate from the Goizueta Business School.
